About this event

Great News SSC athletes. The Colorado Rockies 5K Walk at Coors Field is Saturday, May 31st at 8:05 am. Meet at the starting line on Blake Street at 7:45 am for a group picture prior to the race. Come join SSC for an easy 3.1 mile walk that benefits the homeless of Denver and is sponsored by the Colorado Rockies. Looking for at least 30 smiling faces to enjoy this event together. SSC has participated in this race for 7 years (interrupted by Covid).

Dates and Cost for Senior Registration is:

Now - 3/21 = $30 ($34.09 includes processing fees)
3/22 - 4/25 = $35 (plus processing fees)
4/26 - 5/29= $40 (plus processing fees)
5/31 Race Day = $45 (plus processing fees)

Early packet pickup is Thursday, May 26th, from 11 AM - 6:00 PM at Coors Field, Gate A. They will have the Park Avenue parking ramp open. The lot is free of charge. Head west towards the stadium and you will see the area to pick up your items. A photo ID is required for pick up. Ginny will pick up packets for those who are unable to pick up on this date. The confirmation receipt must be provided in order for Ginny to pick up packets for others.

Our game ticket vouchers will be given to Bob Reece so that he can schedule group outing(s) at a Rockies game for those who participated in the walk.

You will finish the walk inside the stadium running track and can then go upstairs for free beer and a raffle at the awards ceremony. Caution: There may be long lines in the stadium. We will plan to meet at 10:00 am at the View House, 2015 Market St., on the roof top for brunch.
